In this Return and Refund Policy, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Anu Jewellers (ABN 34 647 882 139). By making a purchase with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Ownership & Payment
- Ownership of jewellery goods does not pass to the buyer until full payment has been received and all cheque or bank transfer funds have been cleared into our account.
2. Gold Jewellery — Returns & Refunds
- Gold jewellery cannot be returned after 24 hours from the point of sale. Please choose carefully — no refund will be issued if you change your mind or make an incorrect decision.
- For returns within 24 hours, the following conditions must be met: valid Proof of Purchase must be provided; the item must not have been worn on any occasion; the item must be unused, unaltered, and in the same condition as received; and all original packaging and certificates must be included.
- All returns are subject to inspection by our Quality Assurance team before a refund is processed. Refunds are issued using the same payment method used at the time of purchase.
- “As New Condition” means the item has not been worn and is in pristine condition with no damage, scratches, or signs of use. The determination of whether an item meets this definition is at the sole discretion of Anu Jewellers.
- For approved gold jewellery refunds, the calculation will be based on the gold rate less 12%, and the cost of making (labour charges) will be forfeited.
3. Special & Custom Orders
- Special orders and pieces of jewellery handmade to customer specification are not eligible for return or refund under any circumstances.
4. Precious Stones, Studded & Pearl Jewellery
- Refunds for returned precious stone, studded, and pearl jewellery will be calculated at 55% of the original purchase price (i.e. less 45%). Valid Proof of Purchase is required.
- There is no guarantee or warranty on precious stones, studded, pearl, or rhodium jewellery. Stones may become loose or fall out due to rough handling. We strongly advise against wearing such jewellery during physical or manual activities.
- Precious stones, studded, pearl, and rhodium jewellery cannot generally be repaired; however, we are happy to inspect any damaged item. Where repair is deemed possible after inspection, it may be carried out at additional cost, with no guarantee or warranty on the repair.
5. Silver Jewellery
- No returns or refunds are available for silver jewellery after 24 hours from the point of sale. There is no guarantee or warranty on silver jewellery.
6. Nose Pins
- Nose pins cannot be exchanged or refunded for hygiene and safety reasons, even if returned within 24 hours. No exceptions apply.
7. Earrings
- Earrings cannot be exchanged for hygiene reasons. We may, at our discretion, repurchase earrings; however, the cost of making (labour charges) will be forfeited. Any refund is subject to inspection of the goods and applies to earrings only.
8. Care of 22ct Gold Jewellery
- 22ct gold is among the finest quality gold used in jewellery; however, due to its purity it is a very soft metal. Please handle your jewellery with care and avoid forcing clasps or fittings, as this may cause breakage.
9. Australian Consumer Law
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under State legislation or the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC). Where applicable, Anu Jewellers will meet its obligations under the Australian Consumer Law. Full details of your consumer rights are available at www.consumerlaw.gov.au.
